Man Machine

A physical manifestation of the symbiotic relationship between human and machine that is cycling, this interactive and participatory performance sculpture invites audiences to power the many mechanisms, sculptural elements and sound samples that interconnect the 3 concurrent riders.
Playing like a 3 headed instrument, this work invites collaboration between audience members to create a surreal and whimsical mechanised theatre and sound piece all in one.
Originally commissioned by City of Ballarat for the 2020 Road Nationals, Man Machine is now touring nationally.
