Madeleine Flynn and Tim Humphrey asked us to construct a system that would allow their work “Constellation” to play upon sensing human presence from the the windows of The Australia Council Sydney offices.
We programmed logic and built electronics with a very handmade “maker” aesthetic to show of the process of control and logic for the window display.
All labels were hand written and all joins were visible with extra flashy lights for more visibility! As always the logic is controlled with Arduino micro-controller and sound was played using the fantastic mp3 triggers from Spark Fun. Sound was conducted from the windows via resonating speakers which essentially turn the glass into large sounding panel.
