us

Greetings! We are independent Melbourne based Media Artists / Technologists, Jesse Stevens and Dean Petersen. We encourage and implement the principles of eco design, community, positive change and the endless possibilities of open source and future technologies.

We find that our personal interests directly or indirectly inform our professional development. We love: science fiction, environmental sustainability, robotics, animatronics, experimental music, vintage technology, future technology, automation, 3D, DIY, Japan, Steampunk, independent film, street photography, fine art photography, space exploration, video games and wind-up toys.

Jesse Stevens

I love robots. I love Japan. In fact, I wish I was a Japanese robot. Failing that, some sort of space exploring inventor travelling from world to world in a rickety-yet-functional spacecraft made only from open source technology – with a crew of Japanese robots from the future. For now, I am happy to be making automated robotics, media art technology, VoIP systems, server platforms and a decent long macchiato.

Dean Petersen

I take photos. Lots of photos. In fact there’s barely a time when I’m not capturing the world around me with a DSLR or the latest gimicky-but-amazing Android camera app. I also make a bunch of groovy websites (including this Cake site) based on the Wordpress template. Oh, and I also want to be a Japanese robot.

Transport

We actively support the use of sustainable/zero pollution vehicles. We have two awesome electric scooters from nope.com.au. They are road legal and run at road speeds. As far as we know they are among the first electric scooters here in Victoria. By integrating the scooters into our business we hope to break down the mistrust of electric vehicles and promote them as a viable modern solution to vehicle pollution.
